About

What it is

A worldwide, non-profit remembering practice: ten minutes a day, an optional weekly Gathering for groups, on any phone, carried by divinely inspired music.

Our purpose is to help humanity remember what connects us, by practising six shared principles every day, together.

  1. Gratitude
  2. Love
  3. Compassion
  4. Respect
  5. Forgiveness
  6. Our Shared Humanity

The year has 48 principle-weeks in eight cycles of the six principles, and four rest weeks. World Gathering Day, when everyone is invited, falls in the last rest week.

What this is not

This is not a religion, a political movement, a debating society, a business, or a conventional social network.

The music

The music comes through Joshua Field, played live by candlelight with his eyes closed, delivered in one take. Joshua is the founder's son. These 48 pieces are licensed from Joshua to this movement, and otherwise his role is the same as yours: to remember his humanity.

Who runs it

365 Days of Humanity is being set up as a charity with independent trustees. Until then, its founder, Daniel Field, covers all costs. Nobody profits from the mission itself. No adverts, ever. We never sell or share your data.

The Gatherer's Code

We are all gatherers or helpers, and we agree to:

  1. Follow the shared programme: the week's principle and piece. We are invited to feel the vibrations within the music.
  2. Welcome everyone, whatever their background, faith or views.
  3. Focus only on what unites us. This isn't a place for debate; there are plenty of those elsewhere. No harassment, coercion, hate speech or spam.
  4. No health claims. The music and the practice support humanity's wellbeing, but they are never presented as treatment.
  5. No selling or fundraising inside the Gathering rooms, including for a gatherer's own work or causes. Remember this is a not-for-profit mission.
  6. Respect privacy. Journals are totally private; never ask anyone to share their journal thoughts, their mental state or medical details.
  7. Never stop members visiting other Gathering rooms or moving to another room.
  8. Act on red flags the site's checks raise, and point people in obvious distress to proper support and help.
  9. Describe the Gathering truthfully: "This week's piece, recorded live through Joshua Field."

Gatherers use shared emails only when people agree, with an unsubscribe link in every email. When closing a room, a gatherer gives at least 4 weeks' notice. A room that breaks this code can be closed after a warning, except in cases of serious harm, harassment or fraud.

Members' rights

  • Journals are private and stay with the member.
  • Members can visit other rooms, move or leave at any time.
  • Financial support for the mission is always optional.
  • Consent to share details can be withdrawn at any time.
